Presenting PMCG’s Anticorruption Approaches at DAI Global Small Business Forum

24.12.2024

On December 17, T. Preston Lindler, Director at PMCG, participated in a panel discussion at the Small Business Anti-Corruption Forum organized by DAI Global in Washington, DC.

At the event, he shared details of PMCG’s work on anticorruption projects worldwide as part of a panel moderated by Maksym Klyuchar (Lead Specialist in Anti-Corruption at DAI), covering case studies of small businesses whose operations combat corruption.

In particular, Lindler outlined the key role of many present-day PMCG staff and consultants in the transformative Georgian government reforms of the mid-2000s that steered the country away from corruption and toward the democracy.

In addition, he raised PMCG’s role in implementing the National Governance Program (NGP) alongside the forum’s hosts, DAI, with a focus on fighting corruption through regulatory reform and improved financial management and transparency.

Switching to PMCG’s international endeavors in this area, Lindler underlined PMCG’s ongoing work, again with DAI, on similar reforms via the Jordan Public Financial Management Activity (PFMA), which incentivizes the Jordanian government and businesses to enlarge the revenue pot by enhancing transparency and accountability.

Alongside Lindler on the panel were Richard Crespin (CEO of CollaborateUp), Christy Martins (Senior Director for Democracy, Human Rights, and Governance at Nickol Global Solutions (NGS)), Brian Hannon (CEO of Millennium Partners), and Cristina Malai Turturica (Vice President for Technical Direction and Business Development at Millennium Partners).

Earlier, the conference had begun with welcoming remarks from Jeremy Kanthor (DAI Vice President of Development Innovations (USG)), Ejonta Pashaj (DAI Vice President of Business Development (USG)), and the aforementioned Klyuchar.

Later, following the panel discussion, two thematic deep dives and subsequent Q&A sessions were held, the first of which concerned working with DAI on new business (delivered by Lusine Sarkisyan, DAI Director of Business Development), while the other addressed the most in-demand capabilities in DAI anticorruption cooperation (led by Nils Taxell, DAI Lead Specialist on Anticorruption).
