PMCG Contributes to Decentralization and Local Self-Governments in Georgia by Developing Guidebooks
We recently finished working with Georgian local self-governments (LSG) to enhance their institutional capacity, systems and resources to ensure more effective public service delivery and investment management.
After analyzing existing processes for capital investment planning and asset management information systems, and assessing training needs, we developed the following guidebooks: The Capital Investment Planning Guidebook; the Infrastructure & Other Municipal Physical Assets Management Guidebook; and A Guidebook on Spatial Arrangement for the Municipalities of Georgia.
These guidebooks are designed to elaborate methods of preparing an asset management information system and capital investment plans, and training and assisting LSGs in developing workable priority investment plans.
This World Bank-funded project was implemented by PMCG in consortium with Geographics, led by Ecorys Netherlands B.V.
