GREENNOVATION Pitch Day Marks Key Milestone in Supporting Green Business Solutions in Poti and Khobi

25.06.2026

The GREENNOVATION Pitch Day marked an important milestone in the GREENNOVATION Acceleration Programme, bringing together entrepreneurs, innovators, development partners, and industry experts to showcase business solutions with the potential to contribute to a greener, more resilient future for Poti and Khobi.

Throughout the programme, early-stage ideas and ambitions were transformed into a portfolio of innovative business solutions addressing key challenges in agriculture, renewable energy, the circular economy, logistics, employment, and sustainable production.

A total of 53 businesses applied to the programme. Of these, 20 teams joined the acceleration phase, 19 teams developed and refined their business ideas, and 10 teams were selected to receive funding to implement their solutions.

The winning projects are:

Agrometa: an AI-powered platform that transforms drone-collected field data into precise spraying recommendations, helping farmers reduce pesticide use and improve productivity.

BioNova: a smart biogas solution that converts agricultural waste into renewable energy and bio-fertiliser, supporting sustainable farming and environmental protection.

PhytoTester: portable biosensor technology combined with artificial intelligence to detect plant stress and diseases before visible symptoms appear.

Ecowood: a circular production model that transforms packaging waste into environmentally friendly products through zero-waste manufacturing processes.

Herio: a digital employment platform connecting local talent with businesses in Poti and Khobi while promoting responsible business practices.

Stafika: an AI-enabled HoReCa ecosystem supporting sustainable sourcing, eco-audits, and stronger links between restaurants and local producers.

Epic Solutions: an innovative solar energy optimisation system that increases energy generation without the need for additional solar panels.

Kere: AI-enabled smart collection units designed to improve glass waste management and reduce environmental impact.

CargoMateX by Mate Trans: a digital logistics platform that reduces empty truck movement, fuel consumption, and greenhouse gas emissions.

Ravachuqo.ge: a circular economy initiative transforming wood waste into high-value handcrafted products while supporting local artisans.

While Pitch Day marked the conclusion of the acceleration phase, it also signalled the beginning of the next chapter. The selected projects will now move forward to the implementation stage, turning innovative ideas into practical solutions with tangible impact.

PMCG Research extends its sincere appreciation to the Pitch Day jury members for their time, expertise, and commitment throughout the evaluation process: Maya Tskitishvili, Giorgi Devidze, and Ketevan Vardosanidze from UNDP Georgia, together with invited jury members Sandro Chubinidze and Irakli Svanidze.

Special thanks also go to the programme partners, Bank of Georgia, Founder Institute Georgia, and Plug and Play, who established special awards and opportunities for participating businesses, helping them further develop and scale their ideas beyond the programme.

The GREENNOVATION Acceleration Programme is implemented by PMCG Research with the support of UNDP Georgia and the Embassy of Denmark in Georgia.
