PMCG Celebrates Europe Day 2026
On May 9, PMCG proudly joins the European community in celebrating Europe Day – a symbol of unity, peace, and shared values. Georgia’s history has been closely intertwined with Europe for centuries. Our cultural, intellectual, and political ties reflect a deep-rooted European identity that continues to guide our path forward. Today, a united and strong Europe is more important than ever as a guarantor of peace, stability, and prosperity.
We also take pride in Georgia’s contribution to the idea of a united Europe and honor the legacy of Michel Mouskhely (Mikheil Muskhelishvili), a Georgian-born jurist and European federalist, who was among the early thinkers shaping the vision of European integration. In the aftermath of World War II, he co-authored a draft European federal constitution and actively promoted federalist ideas that influenced the formation of what would later become the European Union. His work, alongside that of other European visionaries, helped lay the intellectual foundations for a peaceful and united Europe based on cooperation, the rule of law, and shared values. It is a reminder that Georgia’s thinkers have long been part of the conversation shaping Europe’s future.
Europe Day is not only a reflection on past achievements, but also a reminder of the shared future we are building together. On this occasion, as we celebrate freedom, equality, solidarity, democracy, and respect for human dignity – these principles continue to inspire our work for years to come.
At PMCG, we remain dedicated to supporting Georgia’s European aspirations, and we reaffirm our commitment to a free, prosperous, and cohesive Europe in which Georgia plays a full and active role.
Happy Europe Day!
