Driving Circular Industry Transformation in Armenia and Moldova

PMCG and the UNIDO project team held a kick-off meeting to formally launch the implementation of industrial waste mapping activities under the EU4Green Recovery East programme, which is carried our with funding by the European Union. 

First, the meeting brought together representatives of PMCG and UNIDO to establish a shared understanding of the assignment. In addition, the participants aligned on key implementation arrangements. As a result, the meeting created a strong foundation for effective collaboration throughout the project period.

During the discussions, the teams reviewed the scope of work and the proposed methodological approach to industrial waste mapping. Moreover, they agreed on coordination mechanisms between PMCG, UNIDO, and National Service Providers. The meeting also clarified initial timelines and outlined the next implementation steps. Importantly, the participants emphasized the need to ensure full consistency with the EU4Green Recovery East objectives and to maintain regional comparability.

Overall, the kick-off meeting marked the official start of PMCG’s work as a contractor to UNIDO under the EU4Green Recovery East programme. Through this assignment, PMCG will support the promotion of circular economy practices and industrial symbiosis in Armenia and Moldova.
