Stronger regional connectivity is becoming increasingly important for the South Caucasus’s competitiveness, resilience, and long-term growth.

On September 24, 2026, PMCG Chairman and President Alex Aleksishvili took part in the Regional Chevening Alumni Conference, “Connectivity, Innovation and Resilience: Building Economic Security in the South Caucasus,” held in Batumi.

Bringing together Chevening alumni, policymakers, business leaders, and experts from Armenia, Azerbaijan, and Georgia, the conference explored how stronger connectivity, innovation, and resilience can support economic security and sustainable growth across the region.

Aleksishvili delivered a keynote address on the changing nature of economic resilience and the role of connectivity in driving competitiveness, investment, and regional economic transformation. He also joined the panel “Connected Regions, Shared Prosperity: Connectivity as a Driver of Economic Growth,” which focused on energy and digital connectivity, Black Sea opportunities, cross-border cooperation, and economic security.

PMCG’s participation reflects its continued focus on regional connectivity, economic development, and cross-border cooperation across the South Caucasus and wider region.
