Helping Green Businesses Grow in Georgia
On February 20, 2026, PMCG officially launched the Greennovation BOOST Georgia Acceleration Program. The initiative supports helping green businesses grow in Georgia by providing structured acceleration to 20 selected MSMEs and startups. The 16-week program brings together companies from across the country that are developing innovative and sustainable solutions.
PMCG implements the program in partnership with UNDP Georgia. The initiative operates under the project “Greening the Future, Advancing Rights and Stability,” funded by the Government of Denmark. Through this collaboration, the partners aim to strengthen Georgia’s innovative green business ecosystem.

Strong Institutional Support
PMCG hosted the Launch Event at TBC Bank. The event gathered representatives from UNDP Georgia, PMCG, and the selected entrepreneurs. In addition, ESG leaders from Georgia’s banking sector attended. Their presence demonstrated strong financial sector engagement and clear interest in sustainable investment.
First, Giorgi Nanobashvili, Economic Development Team Leader at UNDP Georgia, delivered welcome remarks. Next, Alex Aleksishvili, CEO and President of PMCG, addressed the audience and highlighted the economic importance of green innovation. Finally, Giorgi Tsikolia, Team Lead of the program, presented its structure, expectations, and long-term vision.

Entrepreneurs Present Innovative Green Solutions
After the opening session, PMCG introduced the program’s objectives and timeline. Then, each of the 20 selected MSMEs delivered a short pitch. They presented practical green solutions and ambitious growth strategies. As a result, participants demonstrated strong potential for scaling sustainable products and services.
The pitches covered clean technologies, resource efficiency, and sustainable production models. Therefore, the event clearly linked environmental responsibility with business opportunity. This practical focus lies at the core of helping green businesses grow in Georgia.
Collaboration and Next Steps
Moreover, Giorgi Akhalaia, Co-Founder and CCO of Wandero AI, shared his entrepreneurial journey. He discussed scaling challenges and lessons learned. His insights encouraged participants to think strategically and act confidently.
The evening concluded with a dynamic networking session. Entrepreneurs connected with development partners and ESG representatives. These exchanges paved the way for discussions on future partnerships and investment opportunities.

Now, the acceleration phase is underway. Over the next 16 weeks, PMCG will support participating companies in refining business models and strengthening investment readiness. Ultimately, the program contributes to long-term economic resilience by helping green businesses grow in Georgia.
