Bridging Gaps in Laboratory Services for Local Producers
On March 28th, 2025, PMCG organized a workshop in Tbilisi within the EU-funded project QUIS, the workshop presented findings from a comprehensive supply-demand gap analysis in quality infrastructure services, highlighting crucial challenges in testing fields and methods and proposing mechanisms to bridge identified gaps.
The event included detailed presentations of survey results from private companies and conformity assessment bodies (CABs), followed by focused dialogues that facilitated valuable feedback and perspectives from participants. Participants validated findings, discussed feasibility, and explored proposed solutions.
The workshop concluded with insightful remarks from QUIS project representatives and a networking session, successfully fostering collaboration and consensus on steps to strengthen Georgia’s quality infrastructure, ultimately helping to enhance the competitiveness of Georgian companies.
