International Coaches and Evaluators Share Entrepreneurial Lessons Learned
On October 10, PMCG, in collaboration with Startup Buro, organized an interactive event in Tbilisi, bringing together international entrepreneurs and industry experts to share valuable insights from their professional journeys.
In particular, PMCG’s multinational team of coaches and evaluators engaged in Georgia’s Innovation and Technology Agency’s (GITA) Startup Matching Grants Program highlighted the importance of learning from failure in entrepreneurship.
Notably, the assembled speakers included Frank Hannigan from Ireland (partner at StrategyCrowd and member of the Innovation Fund in Serbia’s Investment Committee), Timur Daudpota from the US (CEO of 2080 Ventures and long-term expert at 500 Global), and Alex M. Dascalu from Romania (lead director of Founder Institute’s Eastern European program).
All three are coaches and evaluators in GITA’s Startup Matching Grants Program, where PMCG, as a subcontractor of the Baltic Innovation Agency (BIA), is evaluating 300 selected business plan proposals for the Program’s 12th and 13th rounds.
In addition, Arta Beitane from Latvia (senior associate at Buildit VC) also delivered a presentation at the event, representing the BIA.
All speakers were given seven minutes each to share insights from their entrepreneurial setbacks, and then fielded questions from a large crowd.
The event was part of the internationally acclaimed “Fuckup Nights,” a global movement that began in Mexico in 2012. Today, with more than 800 editions across over 260 cities worldwide every year, it offers entrepreneurs the chance to learn from each other’s failures, which is a valuable tool for growth and innovation.
