Working with Kosovo to Create a More Business-Friendly Environment

PMCG, together with Chemonics International Inc., is actively working with the Government of Kosovo (GoK) to create a more business-enabling environment under the USAID Partnership for Development (PFD) program.

The GoK has prioritized the implementation of reforms to improve Kosovo’s position in the World Bank’s Doing Business Ranking One of the most important laws in this area is the Law on Business Organizations (LBO). Doing business indicators, starting a business and protecting minority Investors are connected directly with the LBO which needs to be in compliance with the principles and terms of the EU Acquis and should meet the objectives of the Stabilization and Association Agreement (SAA) between Kosovo and the EU.

PMCG is working with the GoK to identify fields in need of improvement to streamline requirements and processes to achieve a regionally competitive business environment that will attract foreign investment to Kosovo.
