Yashnar Khamraev
Yashnar Khamraev is a Trade Facilitation Associate in Uzbekistan engaged in the USAID Trade Central Asia Activity.
He has amassed valuable working experience in regional trade/investment, transport & logistics, sustainable development, research and capacity building, public-private partnerships (PPPs), and SME development projects. Growing as a professional since 2000, he has worked in an NGO, a government ministry, and as an advisor in the private sector.
He has also been involved as a consultant in cooperation and research projects conducted with international financial institutions (IFIs) and international funding organizations such as the ADB, World Bank, USAID, PMCG, the EU, UNDP, and GIZ.
Khamraev has also co-authored manuals and publications in the field of transport and logistics and foreign economic activity.
He has also undergone special targeted courses and project events on capacity building, project development, and management in the United States, Germany, Belgium, Georgia, Bulgaria, North Macedonia, Latvia, and Singapore.
Since May 2022, he has been working as a Trade Facilitation Associate in USAID’s Trade Central Asia Activity. During this time, has contributed to harmonizing customs and border procedures and strengthened the resilience of Central Asian economies through trade. His responsibilities here incorporate the coordination of trade facilitation activities, transboundary trade development related dialogue, capacity building of government bodies, and work related to transport corridors and infrastructure development.
Khamraev has a master’s degree in Finance and Economics from the Tashkent Institute of Finance, and also possesses a FIATA Diploma in freight forwarding and has been certified by the Chartered Institute of Logistics & Transport (UK).
