PMCG, together with DAI Europe, and as part of a European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) project, is working to support small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to improve their access to financing, and, more broadly, to stimulate the banking sector to improve its finance products and services.
In order to achieve its goals, the project team is working with partner banks, by providing trainings and advisory services to their staff, and by developing tailored capacity-building measures, assisting them in developing and testing new financial products for SMEs.
In addition, the team assists SMEs by conducting trainings in international trade and the ways of incorporating know-how in their international operations.
The project also aims to develop and localize a diagnostic tool for SMEs that will measure their readiness for trade.
Finally, it is expected that the project will enhance banks’ ability to deliver trade finance to SMEs, giving enterprises better access to finance products and services that will consequently provide better opportunities for SMEs to achieve sustainable growth, create more jobs and expand their operations internationally.
