Project Description:

The project aims to foster linkages between multi-national corporations (MNCs) operating in Georgia and local small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), to contribute to economic growth in Georgia. Such connections will support the inclusion of Georgian SMEs in the global value chain, which is important for growth, development, as well as increasing employment and improving competitiveness.

Attracting FDI and supporting SMEs are both priorities of Georgia’s economic policy.  To date, however, the Government of Georgia (GoG) has not implemented targeted programs to support business linkages between SMEs and MNCs operating in Georgia.

The project assists the MoESD/Enterprise Georgia by:

  • Analyzing the current status of MNC-SME linkages in Georgia
  • Transferring and adapting international experience in business linkages to the Georgian context
  • Designing and implementing appropriate business linkage programs in Georgia
  • Supporting the evaluation of the results of Georgia’s linkage programs.
