The aims of the project are to conduct a self-evaluation of the Tsalka Local Action Group’s (LAG) activities, and to identify existing achievements and challenges in order to increase the effectiveness of the organization’s performance.

The evaluation methodology is based on a mixed design, and primary and secondary data will be collected and processed using qualitative and quantitative methods. Furthermore, the research team will introduce new methods of storing and analyzing project documents for the organization.

Through the evaluation process, the following steps will be taken by the research team:

  • Collecting and analyzing grant proposals in accordance with the local development strategy;
  • Conducting key informant interviews (KIIs) and focus group discussions (FGDs) with key stakeholders and project beneficiaries;
  • Organizing one-day workshops for Tsalka LAG board members on data collection and data processing; and
  • Developing a self-evaluation report with actionable recommendations.
