Presenting PMCG’s Growth and Strengths at Chemonics
On April 21, Lekso Aleksishvili, PMCG’s General Director held a presentation in Washington D.C. at Chemonics, outlining the company’s strengths and continuing growth, particularly in institutional development and capacity building.
The meeting brought together representatives of international development organizations and served as a platform to discuss various aspects of their activities.
Aleksishvili shared PMCG’s unique experience of addressing capacity building issues in transitional countries, discussed the importance of local knowledge versus international practice, covered the sequence of development and also talked about the ways of measuring success.
Based on PMCG’s experience, Aleksishvili explained why certain development projects succeed or fail, detailing several important factors such as: political commitment; policy environment; readiness to change; and systematic versus individual approach.
