PMCG works on the simplification of Georgian Tax Code and relevant legal system
The “Simplification of Tax Code” project has been launched by PMCG, under the USAID Economic Prosperity Initiative program (EPI). The project aims to assist the Ministry of Finance of Georgia and its State Revenue Service to simplify tax legislation, to support the operation of businesses and increase the effectiveness of tax administration.
Ultimately, the objective of the project is to improve and simplify the tax and customs administration process in Georgia, by increasing self-compliance and decreasing ambiguity, double interpretation and frequent changes made to the Tax Code.
PMCG’s consultants work closely with the official working group at the Ministry of Finance to identify problematic/priority areas of the Tax Code, including conducting working meetings with taxpayers and business associations.
