The overall objective of this project is to promote high-quality international education and to provide secondary-level education to students from the six Eastern Partnership (EaP) countries.

In particular, the project aims to support the Georgian government in building a new Europe-focused learning school by developing a detailed design for the construction of the Eastern Partnership European School campus in Georgia, based on the existing conceptual design, and to contribute to the construction process by providing tendering and construction supervision and support.

In the course of the project, PMCG will provide the following services:

  • Reviewing local environmental standards, regulations, and laws;
  • Preparing environmental reports or Environmental Impact Assessments (EIAs) to obtain building/construction permits;
  • Providing specialist environmental supervision during the entire construction phase, including reports on any environmental or social issues or risks that need mitigating; and
  • Tendering and procurement support, including the development of full tender packages and participation in the selection and contracting process, as necessary.

Funded by the European Union (EU) and implemented by the UNOPS, the Eastern Partnership European School Programme promotes secondary education opportunities for students from the six Eastern Partnership countries and encourages European values of multiculturalism and multilingualism. In the first phase of the programme, the project partnered with a local Georgian school, implementing the programme and offering scholarships to students from the six EaP countries. In addition, a feasibility study and concept design were developed for the construction of a European school in Georgia.
