Project Description:

The project is being implemented as part of the UNDP project entitled “Modernization of Vocational Education and Training (VET) System Related to Agriculture in Georgia (VET Phase 2)” that aims to support the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport (MoESCS) in the implementation of the newly-adopted law on vocational education and training (VET).

The new VET law was adopted in April 2018 . The adoption of the new law introduced a number of changes and opened up new opportunities in relation to the VET system in Georgia.

Accordingly, the general objective of the project is to support the new VET law’s implementation by drafting sub-legal acts and underpinning the MoESCS and relevant stakeholders in introducing new policies and a system on the provision of integrated vocational programs.

In particular, PMCG’s consultants will deliver the following three products:

• Develop a concept and policy note based on consultations with key stakeholders and desk analyses of international best practices and taking into account the       requirements of the local context;
• Draft a regulation and pursue (and gain) approval from key stakeholders; and
• Develop clear and user-friendly guidelines and instructions.
