The main objective of the project is to create a platform to stimulate constructive and systematic policy debates among different political and social groups of Georgian society. In addition, the project aims to encourage young researchers in Georgia to develop valuable policy research papers on essential policy issues.

In recent years, Georgia has signed a significant number of free-trade agreements (FTAs) with its trading partners, including Turkey, the EU, and China, and is currently in negotiations with other partners such as Israel and India. In this particular platform, the policy research is focused on providing a critical evaluation of these existing and future agreements. More specifically, the project foresees the assessment of the economic implications of these agreements and the ascertainment of whether there is a need for Georgian policies to be adjusted to meet emerging demands.

After the primary selection of topics, an open announcement will be made to invite researchers to submit the abstracts of their policy papers. The selected candidate will then be assigned to elaborate a policy research paper, compliant with the format defined by the project organizers. The researcher will then present the outcomes of their research at a public forum attended by experts from academic and political sectors.
