Civil Servants honored at Awards Ceremony for Short Term Courses
On December 19, the awards ceremony of the project “Short Term Courses for Civil Servants” was conducted at the Georgian National Library of Parliament. The project was implemented with the support of the USAID Good Governance Georgia (G3).
PMCG,as part of the consortium led by GIPA, has been providing short-term courses for midto high level civil servants in order to develop their knowledge and skills in the areas of management and governance. Under the project, PMCG has been delivering two training modules in strategic management and project management/monitoring and evaluation. PMCG experts designed the training curricula and format in close collaboration with the G3 program representatives and the Prime Ministers’ Office.
Overall, 17 sessions of project management, monitoring and evaluation and 20 sessions of strategic planning were provided by PMCG. A total of 750 trainees attended the sessions.
The awards ceremony was attended by the representatives of USAID, the Prime Minister’s Office, Ministries, and consortium members among others. Special speeches were given by of the head of the USAID delegation, the head of the Civil Service Bureau, the head of Administration at the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure, and the rector of GIPA. Special certificates were given to the staff of the Prime Minister’s Office and HR managers of all the Ministries of Georgia for their respective contributions to the project. In addition, all the participants will receive a certificate of participation.
