PMCG Chairman is attending Emerging Markets Forum in US
During 25-27 September, Mr. Aleksi Aleksishvili, chairman of PMCG, participated in the Sixth Global Meeting of the Emerging Markets Forum; this international event took place in Warrenton, Virginia.
The meeting this year was structured around the following topics:
• Reform of the International Monetary System: The Palais Royal Initiative
• Review of the State of the Global Economy
• Asia 2050—Long Term Economic and Social Prospects
• Impact of Climate Change on Emerging Markets
• The Role of Europe in the Global Economy
• Creating World Class Education Institutions
• Enhancing Latin America and Asia Economic Links
• Mexico 2042—Long Term Economic and Social Prospect
The Emerging Markets Forum (EMF) was created in 2005 to bring together high-level government and corporate leaders as well as top officials of international institutions for a dialogue on key economic, financial and social issues facing emerging markets, and to reach actionable conclusions on the key economic, financial and social issues facing emerging market countries.
Mr. Aleksishvili also attended IMF/WB annual meeting on September 24-26, in Washington DC. The annual meetings of the World Bank Group and the International Monetary Fund each year bring together central bankers, ministers of finance and development, private sector executives, and academics to discuss issues of global concern, including the world economic outlook, poverty eradication, economic development, and aid effectiveness.
During his trip to US, PMCG’s chairman also had meetings with the representatives of leading consulting companies in Washington and discussed future cooperation plans in the region.
