Kateryna Stepchuk
Kateryna Stepchuk is an accomplished environmental engineer and spatial planning expert, who since 2021 has been a consultant in the USAID Governance and Local Accountability (HOVERLA) Activity.
In that role, she enhances local government capacities in spatial planning and land management across various territorial communities in Ukraine. Previously, she worked with the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ), focusing on natural resource management and urban planning, organizing training programs, and providing ongoing support to community leaders.
Her extensive experience has also included leadership roles in the State Service of Ukraine for Geodesy, Cartography, and Cadastre, where she oversaw land management initiatives and the implementation of state policies.
As a member of the Volyn Regional Public Association for Regional Development, Stepchuk actively engages in training and workshops improving local governance and sustainable development.
She also possesses a strong educational background, with master’s degrees in Ecology and Environmental Protection from the National University of Water and Environmental Engineering and Land Management from Lesya Ukrainka Eastern European National University.
