PMCG Delivers Progress to Mongolia and Kosovo According to WB Doing Business Ranking

We are proud to announce that our efforts to deliver progress in transition countries continue to make an impressive impact, with Mongolia and Kosovo both recording significant improvements in the World Bank’s Doing Business 2016 ranking.

Oriented toward improving the business environment, legal framework and institutional systems, based on the experience of designing and implementing successful reforms in Eastern Europe and Central Asia, PMCG has been providing technical assistance to these countries since 2011.

A complex approach resulted in the elimination of most of the legal and regulatory burdens in the private sector and, for both countries, there has been a significant rise in almost every direction on which PMCG has worked.

Comparing their ranking positions of 2012 with latest rankings, Mongolia and Kosovo progressed in the Starting a Business indicator from 97th to 36th and from 117th to 66th place respectively. They both achieved impressive results in Trading Across Borders, as Mongolia jumped from 159th to 74th place, while Kosovo rose from 131st to 71st. Advances were also made in the realm of Dealing with Construction Permits as Mongolia climbed from 119th to 25th while Kosovo stepped up from 171st to 136th.
