The objective of the project is to support cities’ resilience during the COVID-19 pandemic by arranging capacity-building activities and targeted support in the directions of digitalization and crisis management in the southeastern Europe (SEE) region (Objective 1) and promoting the Connective Cities Network’s development through more active and practical involvement (Objective 2).
Under the first objective, PMCG will undertake the following activities:
- Forming thematic working groups in the areas of digitalization and crisis management in the SEE region;
- Conducting detailed research on local government initiatives, projects, and challenges within the working group members’ municipalities;
- Developing action plans for working groups;
- Conducting learning process activities and supporting the development of prototypes/solutions for working group members;
- Supporting two cities (yet to be confirmed/selected) through targeted support in the implementation of small urban initiatives, one in the direction of crisis management and another in the direction of digitalization; and
- Identifying good practices in digitalization and crisis management at municipal level.
Under the second objective, PMCG will undertake the following activities:
- Mapping of Connective Cities Network members; and
- Conducting virtual exchange events discussing the Connective Cities Network’s development and presenting good municipal practices.
