The main objectives of this project are to identify and gather objective evidence on different public financial management (PFM) practices and to provide recommendations to ensure that efforts made to optimize the utilization of public budgets deliver the best possible impacts for children in Kazakhstan, by identifying appropriate pathways according to the different PFM practices to secure reallocation of efficiency savings.
In order to attain its goals, PMCG is conducting the following activities:
- Developing a list of documentation and data on any efficiency savings made within the health procurement systems in Kazakhstan over the past five years;
- Collecting documentation and data on any efficiency savings within the health procurement systems in Kazakhstan over the past five years;
- Conducting interviews with stakeholders;
- Conducting data analyses;
- Developing a draft desk review report;
- Organizing and conducting meetings with stakeholders; and
- Preparing a final report with corresponding findings and recommendations.
