PMCG has started implementing a new project commissioned by the Environmental Project Implementation Unit (EPIU) under the Ministry of Environment of Armenia, PMCG is preparing a Pre-Feasibility Study (PFS) in line with the Green Climate Fund’s (GCF) Simplified Approval Process (SAP). This effort aligns with Armenia’s 2024–2027 GCF Country Programme, which prioritizes boosting resilience against the growing risks of climate change.

In this role, PMCG is working closely with EPIU to ensure the study meets GCF’s technical and strategic requirements. Our work spans from analyzing Armenia’s climate and disaster risk reduction framework, assessing existing EWS initiatives, and identifying system gaps, to exploring cost-effective technologies and evaluating the project’s financial and social dimensions. The final PFS will provide a solid foundation for Armenia’s funding proposal to GCF and ensure the project is ready for submission.

By leading this consultancy, PMCG is helping Armenia move a step closer to securing international climate financing. This will pave the way for the deployment of stronger Early Warning Systems that safeguard lives, livelihoods, and infrastructure across the country.
