Tamaz Gavashelashvili

Tamaz Gavashelashvili is a highly reputed civil engineer specializing in water supply and sewerage systems.

Since May 2019, he has served as Assistant Resident Engineer with PMCG, where he oversees construction in the Urban Service Improvement Investment Program. His responsibilities there include daily supervision of water supply and wastewater systems, ensuring compliance with design documentation and international standards, and preparing comprehensive reports.

Prior to working for PMCG, Tamaz operated as a technical supervisor for an individual entrepreneur, managing sand and gravel mining operations, and ensuring adherence with health and safety standards. Meanwhile, his international experience includes a role as an engineer in the Netherlands, where he installed water supply and sewage systems in accordance with EU regulations.

Gavashelashvili’s extensive background also includes significant positions at the US Embassy in Georgia, where he oversaw renovations of water and wastewater systems, and at Rustavi Water Supply Systems, where he played a key role in rehabilitating the city’s water supply infrastructure.

He possesses a master’s degree in Civil Engineering from Georgian Technical University, and is fluent in Russian and proficient in English.
