Nino Javakhadze
Nino Javakhadze, Economic Policy Sector Lead at Policy and Management Consulting Group (PMCG), has 20 years of experience in public and private sectors. She has held senior positions in the Government of Georgia, before switching to private consultancy.
Before joining PMCG, Nino served as Deputy Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia and Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of Georgia, focusing on structural reforms and international cooperation.
She has extensive experience in economic policy and private sector reforms, including areas of business enabling environment, entrepreneurship policy and initiatives, financial market development, pension reform, investment climate initiatives, public-private partnerships, streamlined service delivery, international trade, competition, etc. Nino was a member of the negotiating team for EU-Georgia Association Agreement, including Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Area Agreement (DCFTA) and led negotiations on trade in services. She also participated in FTA negotiations between Georgia and Turkey, China, EFTA and Hong-Kong. Her areas of expertise in FTA negotiations included competition policy and trade in services.
Nino holds master’s degree in policy economics from Williams College (US), as well as master’s and bachelor’s degrees in macroeconomics from Tbilisi State University.
