Researching Good Practices and Moderation of Virtual Events at Municipal Level During COVID-19 Pandemic
We recently started working on a GIZ project designed to share experience and innovative solutions efficiently across regions in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic, so that cities in GIZ’s Connective Cities Network can better prepare for the effects of the pandemic. Moreover, it aims to boost the effectiveness of their responses to local outbreaks.
In order to attain these objectives, PMCG will conduct research and will moderate virtual events within the GIZ’s Connective Cities Network on topics such as health, business, and governance within the framework of the pandemic response at the municipal level.
“The COVID-19 pandemic has created a universal problem, which affects the whole world. Thus, during this global crisis, it is especially crucial to share innovative and effective solutions in different fields quickly to as many countries as possible. This project will ensure the effective dissemination of good practices in response to the COVID-19 pandemic at municipal level and will play a huge role in tackling this global challenge,” said Piotr Zuber, team leader of the project.
PMCG will devise criteria for the selection of municipalities, which will be chosen on account of their good practices. The team will research and identify 10 good practices or positive experiences in the project countries in the fields mentioned above. We will also mobilize representatives of partner countries to participate in the virtual events and to present their project ideas and good practices.
