Assisting Vocational Education Institutions to Introduce Higher Standards
PMC Research has recently started working on a new project aiming to develop practical and effective mechanisms that will contribute to the institutional strengthening of vocational education and training (VET) institutions in Georgia.
More specifically, under the UNDP project “Supporting the Institutional Strengthening of the Vocational College Gantiadi and Fostering Evidence-based Teaching” we will develop an institutional assessment tool for VET institutions of Georgia based on international best practices. Moreover, we will conduct institutional assessments to analyze Gantiadi’s needs and opportunities, and develop a flexible, low-cost and practical mechanism for market assessment. At the same time, we will provide institutional support to enable the college to take advantage of the new opportunities presented by the updated VET law.
“VET institutions of Georgia are increasingly asked to comply with higher standards of teaching and institutional development. This project is designed to provide necessary support in this process and is entirely driven by the needs of the beneficiary college, Gantiadi,” stated Research Director of PMC Research, Giorgi Khishtovani.
The project is being conducted in collaboration with VET College Gantiadi located in Gori, Georgia with the financial support of the UNDP.
