Job Overview

The primary service area of the projects is infrastructure development:

  • Water supply and wastewater systems
  • Solid waste management
  • Hydro Power Plant Development; Dams, irrigation systems
  • Roads and Highways
  • Urban Transportation
  • Spatial planning
  • Tourism
  • Support of private sector
  • And other

Project Manager is responsible for successful project management, ensuring quality and results by:

  • Managing partnerships, policy, and resource mobilization;
  • Overseeing and managing projects on a day-to-day basis;
  • Managing the full circle of the project
  • Leadership and Managerial courage.

Main Responsibilities

To plan and act to the Company’s strategic objectives, create opportunities, prepare project proposals, and manage the project cycle from the initial stage to its closure:

  • Analyze tender requirements
  • Communicate with potential clients and partners
  • Prepare project proposals concept papers and required forms of announced project
  • Identify and evaluate potential project team members (Expert, Consultant, etc.)
  • Communicate Company’s and project expectations to the Consultants on a proactive basis  
  • Coordinate, monitor, and evaluate Consultants’ activities
  • Prepare and monitor Project Budget
  • Assess and prepare mitigation plan for project risks
  • Communicate with team members, clients, beneficiaries, contractors, and sub-contractor organizations when necessary.
  • Work with project stakeholders to complete project scope, goals, deliverables, required resources, budget and timing, and Contracting
  • Manage and control the quality and timing of documents to be developed within the project;
  • Obtain recommendations on the project from the clients
  • Ensure all project documents are safely archived following project completion
  • Represent the company in various events
  • Other activities as needed for project management and implementation

Managerial courage and Leadership

  • Manage and supervise Project Officers’ activities within the project cycle.
  • Facilitate knowledge management and sharing
  • Motivate, give feedback, and encourage
  • Gives opportunities to practice new skills and capabilities, provides coaching

Required Experience:

Essential:

  • A minimum of 3 years of practical working experience in Project Management within the public or private sector.
  • Management experience in public and/or private sector development programs or projects is highly desirable;
  • Fluency in English, both written and verbal.

Preferred:

  • Technical knowledge of one of the technical areas of the Infrastructure Development
  • Experience with development programs, mandates, policies, and procedures is an advantage.
