In Georgia, the average cost of a room1 in a 3-star hotel was 140 GEL per night in December 2019. While the average cost of a room in a 4-star hotel in Georgia was 213 GEL per night and the average cost of a room in a guesthouse2 was 69 GEL per night.

In October 2019, in Georgia the hotel price index3 decreased by 5.9% compared to September 2019. The 3-star, 4-star and 5-star hotel price index decreased by 5.9%, while for guesthouses, the price index decreased by 6.2%.

This project concerns the final evaluation of the “Communicating Europe in Ukraine” (CEIU) project, with a focus on Eastern regions of Ukraine and the assessment of achievements recorded. In particular, the evaluation will serve to measure the performance of the CEIU, its enabling factors and those hampering a proper delivery of results in order to adjust its design, as well as to inform the planning of future EU interventions and actions in the same sector.

PMCG recently started the implementation of an accompanying measures consultancy service, as part of the ISWM program II for two regions of Georgia, namely Kakheti and Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti. The program entails the construction of regional sanitary landfills and transfer stations, the closure of existing landfills, the extension and improvement of street sweeping, waste collection and waste transport, as well as pilot projects in recycling and composting.
