Project Description:

 

PMCG, under Westminster Foundation for Democracy (WFD) project gave a series of trainings for the staff of Financial and Economic Analysis Office (FEAO) and the Budget Committee of the Ukrainian Parliament in Kiev, Ukraine. 

The training programme covered a wide range of issues related to budget oversight, PEFA methodology, midterm expenditure framework and program budgeting and practical work.

The overarching aim of the series of trainings was to help Financial and Economic Analysis Office (FEAO) and the Budget Committee of the Ukrainian Parliament use their leverage to improve public financial management.

The series were designed to:

  1. Let both the Financial and Economic Analysis Office (FEAO) and the Budget Committee decide which Georgian as well as other best practices can realistically be replicated in Ukraine 
  2. Assist the Financial and Economic Analysis Office (FEAO) make a difference with their analysis as well as improve the budget oversight by the Committee.


PMCG will also assist the institutions to set up an online platform to let the Financial and Economic Analysis Office (FEAO) rank the initiatives worth pursuing following the training by importance.
